Ridget is unimpressed with this development |
We've gone straight from fire season to winter rain, so the ponies are already off pasture and in their sacrifice paddock. Neither are pleased with this development. I think the banana pony might be losing teeth, since she's gnawing on anything and everything right now. In an effort to limit the damage and appease the barn owner, we reintroduced hay nets in hopes of keeping her busy longer. Sophie thought that was just great, Bridget was PISSED and thought it was completely unfair.

Sophie: "Oh, this looks lovely. Thank you." |

Bridget. |

Lol at B taking her frustrations out on the hay net, while Sophie reaps the rewards |

Poor B. It's a struggle. Also, it's mud season again, so you probably wont see a clean palomino pony until next spring. |
When I first put one up Carmen looked at me like 'What foul contraption are you torturing me with now?" But I love the slow feed nets. :D
ReplyDeleteI love them too - the barn owner is not a fan and it slid by the wayside all summer when they had pasture, but now on the 4 days a week I feed dinner I'm reinstating them!
DeleteBest use of images/gifs in a post ever: ) Hate filling nets, but hate waste more: )
ReplyDeletei have hay racks in my stalls and use them but Remus likes to pull it out and spread it out..like an all you can eat buffet. I might have to get haynets for Winter just to keep the waste down. UGH Not to mention Remus still not thrilled with Bermuda :)
ReplyDeleteAnd i am having issues with table manners for grain (or pellets). Remus has been downgraded to a feed pan on the ground since his idea of dinner time is to reach in and fling his feed bucket across the stall. WTF HORSE. OMG
Sophie will be even cuter dirty :) HA B's face is hilarious :)
Bridget does the bucket fling too, because it's SO HARD to eat out of a bucket?
DeleteHahaha, poor Bridget. You're just the meanest mom ;-)
ReplyDeleteShe certainly thinks so, lol
Deletethanks GBU
ReplyDeleteTry to keep her baby teeth if you can find them :P
